VANCOUVER, CANADA July 25, 2014 – Aegis Mobility, the global leader in solutions to prevent distracted driving, announced today that it has signed a partnership with CBC (Consolidated Buying Company), a performance-based marketing company dedicated to providing a competitive advantage to the businesses they serve.
CBC will be actively promoting FleetSafer, the enterprise solution for distracted driving, to its over 12,000 Heavy Duty and Medium Duty Fleet members through its Consolidated Fleet Solutions (CFS) and CB Fleet purchasing programs. Companies participating in these programs will receive a 5% rebate on FleetSafer.
Driver distraction from the use of smartphones and tablets in vehicles is a leading cause of accidents and significant source of cost and risk to businesses. FleetSafer is software for smart phones and tablets that automatically detects driving state, locks the keyboard and silences all alerts when driving. FleetSafer is easily deployed through email, SMS or through a mobile device management (MDM) system.
Olen Vanderleeden, Vice-President of Sales and Business Development for Aegis Mobility, commented, “Our partnership with CBC is a tremendous opportunity for us to reach the SMEs (small and medium enterprises) and independently owned fleet operators and equip them with our industry-leading distracted driving solutions.”
“Distracted driving is responsible for 26% of vehicle accidents according to the National Safety Council. FleetSafer is a valuable tool that will help our members eliminate this leading cause of accidents that can be devastating to businesses,” said Mike Garrity, Vice-President of Fleet & Automotive for CBC.
